Mierne kopce a rovné cesty sú je najväčším lákadlom na turistiku v Burgenlande. Nie sú tu žiadne prudké stúpania, preto si krajinu dokážu vychutnať deti ako aj seniori so slabšou fyzickou kondíciou.

TURISTIKA

V Burgenlande máte k dispozícii celý rad trás na pešiu turistiku i na Nordic Walking – Nordic Walking Panorama Park pri Neziderskom jazere. Zároveň vám krajina poskytne nádherné panoramatické výhľady. Z najvyššieho (884 m. n. m) vysokého vrchu Burgenlandu Geschriebenstein, turisti môžu pozorovať ďalekohľadom dravé vtáky v prírodnom parkom Geschriebenstein-Írottkö. Nezabudnuteľný výhľad poskytuje rozhľadňa Redlschlag, okolo ktorej turisti prechádzajú po turistickom chodníku alpannonia. Turistické týždne alpannonia v júni a septembri sú skvelou príležitosťou na spoznanie tejto trasy. Vedie od výbežkov Álp až do Panónskej panvy. Faunu a flóru i kultúrne dedičstvo spoznáte v národnom parku Neziderské jazero – Seewinkel, ale aj mierne vyvýšeniny pohoria Lietha alebo malebný Kellerstöckl na Pinkatalerskom vinárskom chodníku. Tématický jablkársky chodník vedie po pahorkatine Neuhauser a chodník čerešňového kvetu pozdĺž pohoria Leitha. Turistický chodník troch krajín vedie z južného Burgenlandu. Turisti sa po ňom dostanú k hraničnému kameňu troch štátov – Rakúska, Maďarska a Slovinska.

V prírodnom parku Landseer Berge turisti putujú po stopách keltských kniežat a vulkanológov. Nachádza sa tu „najmladšia“ sopka Rakúska – Pauliberg – náleziská prírodného skla a prírodnej keramiky. V jej okolí vedie množstvo turistických chodníkov, cyklotrás a chodníkov pre horské bicykle, ktoré vedú k pamätihodnostiam. Prezrieť si môžete renesančný zámok Kobersdorf, keltskú dedinu v Schwarzenbach či jednu z najväčších zrúcanín hradov v Európe Landsee.
