Bývalá právnička, dnes úspešná autorka kriminálnych príbehov Helen Fields vždy prináša napínavé, vzrušujúce a drsné prípady plné zaujímavých postáv. Aj preto sa jej tzv. Dokonalá krimiséria považuje za jednu z najlepších v súčasnosti.

Obľúbená dvojica - detektív Callanach a inšpektorka Turnerová – rieši ďalší drsný prípad, vo vydavateľstve Albatros Media pod značkou Lindeni 25. apríla vychádza Dokonalý zločin.

Po Dokonalých stopách, Dokonalej koristi, Dokonalej smrti a Dokonalého ticha je Dokonalý zločin piatou knihou v ospevovanej sérii. Čitatelia sú z piateho prípadu série nadšení: „Je to návykové, pohlcujúce a absolútne napínavé. Piata kniha v sérii detektíva Callanacha splnila svoj názov. Síce som ešte nečítala predchádzajúce knihy  tejto série, ale vôbec mi to nevadilo. Číta sa skvele aj ako samostatný príbeh,“ napísala jedna z nich o Dokonalom zločine. „Rovnako vzrušujúce ako šokujúce. Vracajú sa starí známi, predstavujú sa noví psychopati a v deji sa objavia aj osobné zápletky. Toto je určite jedna z najlepších sérií procedurálnych kriminálnych románov,“ dodal ďalší čitateľ. A ešte jeden: „Tieto knihy sú jednoducho fantastické. Temné, desivé, návykové. Absolútne odporúčam!“

V knihe Dokonalý zločin je páchateľov spôsob zabíjania dovedený do dokonalosti. Všetko sa to začne Stephenom Berrym – keď sa chystal skočiť z mosta, v poslednej chvíli ho zastavil poradca z centra pre prevenciu samovrážd. O týždeň neskôr však Stephena naozaj nájdu mŕtveho na dne priepasti, pod útesom, na ktorom stojí Tantallonský hrad. Callanach a Turnerová musia zistiť, či skočil z hradieb sám, alebo ho niekto strčil… Podrobnejšie pátranie odhalí, že v Edinburghu sa stali ďalšie potenciálne samovraždy: žena s podrezanými žilami vo vani, muž zabitý elektrickým prúdom. Všetko sú to však starostlivo pripravené úmrtia – nič nepripomína impulzívne pokusy o samovraždu. Séria podivných samovrážd privedie vyšetrovateľov k myšlienke, že za desivými činmi sa skrýva sériový vrah s mrazivou schopnosťou zinscenovať miesto nešťastia. Ako si vyberá svoje obete a kto ďalší je na rade? Zabijak s pokrivenou mysľou získava s každým zmareným životom väčšiu sebadôveru a Luc ani Ava netušia, ako blízko okolo nich krúži… „Prečítal som to na dve sedenia. Nedalo sa inak. Strhujúci a fascinujúci thriller, s jedným z najdesivejších psychopatov v detektívnom žánri,“ vychválili knihu v Sunday Times. „Je to starostlivo a detailne vykreslený príbeh o obsesii a manipulácii,“ napísali v magazíne – Woman.

Knihy Helen Fieldsovej boli preložené do takmer tridsiatich jazykov. A v každej krajine sa dočkali úspechu, inak to nie je ani na Slovensku. „Nie nadarmo sa táto séria nazýva Dokonalá, ona má totiž skutočne čo ponúknuť. Je neotrepaná, originálna, brutálne návyková a taká šialene dynamická, až sa čudujem, že pri nej čitatelia dokážu vôbec dýchať,“ napísali na blogu Láska ku knihám. „Toto je momentálne moja najobľúbenejšia krimi séria s dokonalou dvojicou, detektívom Lucom Callanachom a inšpektorkou Avou Turnerovou,“ priznáva Ildi knihomolka. „Každé čítanie navodí tie správne zimomriavky a v každom prípade je páchateľ nechutným spôsobom zvrátený. U čitateľa navodí hnus, ale musím hneď napísať, že takéto často až morbídne, hororové scénky v krimi čítaní mi jednoducho pasujú.“

Podobne reagujú aj v zahraničí. Scotland Correspondent napísal, že prichádza nový detektív, ktorý má šancu stať sa najlepším fiktívnym detektívom Škótska: „Skutočný klenot, ktorý je ťažké odložiť.“  V magazíne Saga boli struční: „Skutočne mrazivé.“
